Building A Resilient Team

Help yourself and your team to improve morale and interpersonal relations as well as physical and mental well-being in order to be more productive and to better cope with change.

Today’s workplace is demanding and always ‘on’. Change is the only constant and the urgent needs of customers and colleagues are sometimes overwhelming. This can put great stress on your people who get worn down by always operating at high alert.

Productive teams
To keep your teams engaged, feeling good and productive they need help in dealing with these daily demands. They will need a high degree of resilience to cope with and overcome the "slings and arrows" of daily business life. The good news is that resilience involves specific skills and behaviours which can be improved in anyone.

This full day training course and follow up individual session will help you understand and develop professional resilience. Through a participative approach you will learn to assess your current level of resilience and how to develop it further using techniques borrowed from emotional intelligence, motivation, mindfulness and successful change management.

The second part of the course will look at how you use these skills to help your organisation and in particular the staff and volunteers you line manage to foster a culture of physical and mental well-being.

Content includes
  • What is resilience
  • Why is resilience important?
  • How resilient are you?
  • How resilient is your organisation?
  • Developing skills around assertive communication, change management, motivation and mindfulness
  • Using resilience to support and develop others.

What will I learn?
  • To understand what resilience is
  • To understand how resilient you are and identify any gaps
  • To learn how to improve your ability to cope with change and/or stress, and constructively develop your team's motivation
  • To explore ways to strengthen your staff/volunteers resilience.

What people say about this course
"I confirm that the course was excellent! Very interactive and lots to challenge our thoughts and processes in order to support Staff to become more resilient. The coaching session was equally as valuable because it gave me the opportunity to ask one to one questions and receive ‘real’ suggestions to help change. "

Altia Tenyue, CEO, Gilgal Birmingham
"Just want to say I thoroughly enjoyed yesterday’s course, you have a great personal approach which I liked immensely."
